ABOUT US

Born Indigo is an Alternative Rock/Electronic band from Saint Paul, Minnesota. Members Andrew and Kelsey Singer are influenced by their time in the Punk Rock music scene as well as bands like Lewis Capaldi, Billie Eilish, Julien Baker, and Radiohead. Their music combines chill electronic vibes and beats, spacey electric guitars and vocals, along with investigative lyrics that create a unique and captivating experience.

Both Andrew and Kelsey have always had a love for music. They grew up listening and playing much of the same music from a variety of bands like Switchfoot, Flyleaf, Coldplay, U2, Radiohead, and many others. Their musical tastes and influences have changed slightly over the last few years, favoring more electronic and ‘chill’ music from artists like Lewis Capaldi, Lauv, Billie Eilish, Violents, and Julien Baker.

Born Indigo’s music focuses a lot on the emotional battles we face within ourselves on a continuous basis. They serve as a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles and that we will make it. Their new album, Self, accomplishes this through several metaphorical music elements. The spacey and reverb-saturated guitars and vocals are the embodiment of drowning in self-prescribed failure. The threads of delicate electronic melodies allude to all the near unintelligible self-deprecations we consume. The dissonant harmonies convey our frustration with the clash between what is and what could be. These elements all come together to create a unique and curiously beautiful experience for listeners’ minds and hearts.

Born Indigo’s second single, Waiting on You (Waiting on Me) from their album, Self, received a ‘Top Pop Score’ from Radio Airplay within its first week of streaming. Born Indigo was also featured in ArtistPR’s ‘Artist Spotlight’ in April 2020. Their new album, Self, releases on June 15, 2020.
